Advances in equipment and newer techniques in rigid endoscopy allow practitioners to provide affordable and practical laparoscopic care for their patients. Owners are accustomed to the decreased pain and recovery times associated with rigid endoscopy performed on themselves, and many times are requesting the same level of care for their pets. In order to help private practitioners provide these minimally invasive surgeries, the Center for the Advancement of Rigid Endoscopy has designed an intensive two day wet lab course.

This two-day rigid endoscopy course demonstrates the varied applications of laparoscopy, in addition, each practitioner will participate in at least two single-port ovariohysterectomies, as well as performing a laparoscopic assisted gastropexy. Dogs are then returned to the animal shelter, or rescue group, and placed for adoption.

The science of rigid endoscopy, the economics, and the profitability of incorporating rigid endoscopy into private practice will be discussed by our doctors who employ these techniques daily in their own practices.
